GLE Rotterdam is part of the international operating GLE Group; a chain of workshops with highly professional, well-trained workshop staff/mechanics who execute (field) repair and maintenance of both trailers, trucks and dollies. GLE Group is the service provider of ICTS Group, an International trailer rental company, for which the total GLE Group performs 60% of all trailer work. GLE Group also performs (field) repair and services for external customers and third parties, in both the workshops and on location (field services).

The Workshop Manager is responsible for the workshop in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, which is specialized in maintenance and repair of trailers. We work with a customer-oriented and commercial approach. The tasks mainly consist of:

• You are responsible for day-to-day management of the mechanics and drivers, distribute the work assignments, communicate with customers and ensure strict follow-up of the assignments to be carried out.
• A proactive attitude is a must. You detect inefficiencies in the workshop, provide solutions and proactively communicate with employees and stakeholders about the work.
• You are responsible for the administration of quotations for repairs in the workshop and for accurate invoicing of the executed work orders.
• You are very flexible, in accordance with the needs of the company. You think along with the management about operational management and follow the agreed vision.

This full-time position includes the following qualifications:

• You have prior knowledge as a trailer mechanic and preferably have a solid experience as a mechanic yourself.
• Knowledge of MS Office and current software. You learn new programs quickly.
• You have followed courses or trainings related to automotive engineering, and you are prepared to continue training if necessary.
• Being able to manage and lead are qualities that are self-evident to you.
• Customer-friendly attitude towards stakeholders.
• You have a flexible attitude and can therefore easily adapt to changing circumstances.
• A fresh look and you are representative.
• Alert and stress resistant.
• Good social and communication skills.
• Well-experienced commercially and administratively.
• Knowledge of the Dutch language, spoken and written; English and German is an advantage.
